Rules and Regulations
- Each participating team will comprise of 14 Player (11 member playing team + 3 substitute players).
- The following details need to be provided for each participation :
- Name of player
- Address for communication (both current and permanent)
- Contact details (landline, mobile, e-mail)
- Recent photograph (Passport size)
- Identity proof- pan-card/passport/driving license/ ration card etc (also to be carried to the venue at all times)
- A contesting team on the field will consist of 11 playing players.
- Each Innings of the T-10 gully cricket contest comprises of 10 over for each side.
Quota of overs
- Each bowler is allowed to bowl a maximum of 2 overs per innings.
- Each wide ball during the tournament will result in awarding the batting side an additional run. The ball will not be counted.
- A free hit (field placing of the fielders on the ground cannot be changed) is applicable in the case of a NO ball. (A NO ball is counted if the bowler's foot crosses the popping crease)
- Under arm bowling is not allowed in this tournament
The Tie-Breaker :
In the event of a tie between two teams, the winner will be decided by the method of "Bat Out", if that also leads to a tie then the winner will be declared by "spin of coin".
Bat-Out :
Each team will nominate one batsmen, who will face six balls bowled by 6 different bowlers (1 ball each) whose nomination have to be given in order to be bowled before the bat out starts. Who ever hits the maximum sixers will be the winner. No other scoring would be of consequence.If that also leads to a tie then sudden death would be enforced ie. Each batsman facing a ball each and whosoever hits the six and the opponents fails to hit a six would win the contest --they will get maximum 6 balls but if the scores are still tied then the winner will be decided by spin of coin.
- Each toss will be carried out and supervised by the organizers and the umpires.
- The process of "Bat out", as formulated by the organizers will be carried out amongst the losing teams of round one to identify the best loser.
- Neutral umpires as selected and appointed by the organizers would conduct and supervise the match; their decision is binding and final at any stage of the game and is to be followed by all players on field.
- All players are needed to wear sports shoes as a matter of rule
- Fielding restrictions on ground restricts placing a maximum of 5 players on one side of the field. If the restriction is not followed, the ball will be counted as a NO ball and result in a free hit.
- As a matter of rule, the wicket-keeper will not be allowed to bowl.
- All players are obliged to wear the uniform (t-shirt, track pants and any other promotional material) as provided by the organizers and customized for the tournament.
- Any player guilty of un-gentlemanly behavior (by word or action or disrupting the game in any manner) will be penalized by being removed from the game. Also the team in question will not be allowed to replace that player with a substitute/ stand in player. The decision of the umpire in this respect stands final.
- The umpire's decision can not be challenged for the following and are binding on all teams in the tournament:
- Wasting of time by the balling/ batting side, which might lead to the prescribed over not being completed in the time allotted for each innings.
- Damaging the pitch in any way.
- Dangerous and unfair balling/ batting practice.
- Tampering with the ball
- Any unfair means used during the tournament
Time Restrictions :
Each team has a time limit of 40 minutes to finish their quota of 10 overs. However, the umpire has the authority to decide on the penalty if he feels that either side is guilty of wasting time.
- The Free-Hit :
Each no ball is further penalized with a 'free hit' delivery. This means that on the delivery that follows each no ball, the batsmen can be dismissed only through a run-out, obstructing the field or handling the ball or if he hits the ball twice.
- Power over :
Whatever runs they score in this over becomes double-both the captains have to decide when they want to take the power over, it cannot be the 1st and the last.
- Max zone :
It will be marked on the ground at long off and fine leg. if the batsmen hits through that and score runs, the no of runs scored becomes double-say for example if they take 2runs then it becomes 4
- The organizers reserve all rights to define/ alter the screening and selection process. No claims whatsoever shall be entertained in that respect.
- The organizers reserve the right to amend/ modify/ delete/ include at a later stage any rule (s) or/and terms and conditions at any stage of the tournament (before/ during/ after). The same shall be binding to one and all.
